-If you're playing against other players, Defense Grenades make great traps. Bots won't go near the grenades, but we humans typically don't notice them on the ground.

-The bullets in RE Soldat are invisible and a lot faster than the defaults, like the ones in Resident Evil. I find it more challenging to fight with these bullets, as you can't see where your shots are going or your enemy's. You can actually see where the shots land by the little puffs of smoke they make on impact, and you will grow accustomed to it. If you really don't like them, you can delete the "-bullet" files in the RE Soldat Weapon-gfx folder.

-The Machine Gun's bullets are visible. Since it's capable of killing many people at a very long distance, I wanted to give the "victims" a chance to see where the shots are coming from and possibly avoid them.

-If you check out the Zombie Bots folder, you'll see three additional zombie characters. The first two are from Resident Evil: Marvin Branagh, a cop, and Robert Kendo, a gunstore owner. But the last one is called Pierce. Consider that as my cameo in RE Soldat...as a zombie.

-The Machine Gun is stationary, but it is meant to be carried (You can see a handle on the top of it).

-The icon that appears in the kill display (top right of the screen) when someone dies from fire is a flaming zombie.

-I have a bunch of cool zombie noises from Resident Evil, but there just isn't any place for them in Soldat. The only zombie moan sound comes from killing someone with the Flamethrower.

-The shortcut icon for RE Soldat is a picture from RE2. I feel that it is a memorable symbol for Resident Evil. In fact you might call it EYEconic! Haha..heh. You get it? It's an Eye. And it's the shortcut icon. And it's iconic. That's a triple pun, that made up word of mine.

-The indoor areas of the Mansion maps have polygons that you can walk through, but not shoot through unless you have a high powered weapon. I wanted to make these like doors, which makes killing zombies more difficult.

-The Organizations that replace the Soldat teams are all from Resident Evil:
UBCS = Umbrella Biohazard Countermeasure Service
The RPD = The Raccoon City Police Department
S.T.A.R.S. = Special Tactics and Rescue Service (or Squad)
USFU = Umbrella Special Forces Unit*

*I think it's also called, "USS" = Umbrella Secret Service

-I added a bunch of tiny details into the Custom Interface. Look closely and you'll see all of the "Secondary Weapons" are pictured in the menu along with some other RE items.

-The spawning noise is a typewriter. In Resident Evil you save your game by using typewriters. So it's like when a Soldat character dies, he restores a saved game. Also, the dead icon in the points display is an ink ribbon.

-The music that plays for B.O.W. Mode is the Nemesis' theme, it plays in RE3 whenever he's around. The roaring sound that plays when someone is killed is from Mr. X.

-B.O.W. stands for "Bio-Organic Weapon" They are types of monsters created by the Umbrella Corporation.

-The 'biohazard symbol crosshair' and the 'Umbrella logo arrow' were originally switched around.

-All of the death sounds are of Chris Redfield dying or getting hurt in the original RE. The 'explosion-erg' is him saying, "Whoa!" combined with the default Soldat sound.

-I designed the bots to be interchangeable between folders. Want The Nemesis to fight both zombies and humans? Then copy his BOT File from 'B Character Bots' and paste it into 'B Zombie Blastage'.

-Experiment with the naming of bots. The reason why zombies don't fight other zombies is because of their name. Open up a BOT File in Notepad, see how every zombie is named "a zombie"? Look a few lines down and you'll see that they identify "a zombie" as a friend. My Soldat name is Pierce, so if I type Friend=Pierce on that line for every zombie, they would not fight me in the game, but they would fight each other. It's unfortunate, but a bot can only identify one friend name.
